Hi lovelies, I finally found wifi to write about the show. I am going to do a separate post about what I did for the rest of the day. So many of you know that I went to Daniel Silverstain Spring/Summer Collection 2016 yesterday. This show was so exciting so keep reading to find out about it.
The fashion show started off with me waiting in line to be let in because I got there a little early. Good thing I did because there was a huge line. While I was in line some of you know I met my hat twin and her name is Liri and her blog is Liri Simple Beauty. I also met the person in front of me her name is Samantha and her blog is Fenway Fashionista. You guys should check their blogs out.
Finally we were let into an elevator and headed up towards the fashion show. The room was energetic. The moment I stepped in to the hall music played, lights were bright, people were everywhere. There also was a really cute puppy being taken pictures of on the runway. I started taking photos and then found my seat. I was sitting second row! The lights brightened and the the music was louder the show was starting. The first look came down the runway. My first thoughts were how simplistic and modern these designs are, As more of the models came down I saw beautiful colors almost like ones of flags, lace, and two pieces. I also noticed the models hair, it was very pretty. I think it is a pinup braid. My favorite look was the Blue Silk Bandeau Top with the Primary Chevron Silk Flared Skirt. (First pic of the models under the text) The sheer draping was so unique and I love the laid back structure. The palette was neutral with pops of the primary colors. Overall I loved how fresh and different the designs were.
After the show I interviewed the designer Daniel Silverstain and took pictures with him.
R: What advice would you give to an aspiring designer?
DS: "To work very very hard and to keep doing it. The best thing is to continue trying.”
R: What inspired you for this collection?
DS: "Montreal Expo 67. This was an event where all the countries showed all of their new, innovative designs. "
All the models lined up after the show so the press could take photos of the outfits. You can see all of them below. After I took lots of photos I went back in the elevator and headed to lunch, shopping, and more. To find out about the rest of my day stay tuned because the post is coming soon. Also there are so many photos that I had to add a read more link. Remember to subscribe to my VIP Listers Email List.
